That would still make it so you can only have half a skill bar with pve only skills.

It seems like more sense to have an even amount of pve only skills. Not to mention by the time you grind enough to get pve skills to a useful level, it'll be end game when your going to need the skills to do challenging dungeons and what not.

So, please arena net just add 1 more pve only skill available to the maximum cap.

It can't imbalance anything with 4 skills as compared to 3.

I think people would like it even more if it was 4 max skills and then just make it so you can't use skills from more then one title at a time. But only 3 pve only skills is kind of a bad thing.

The whole reason of pve only skills is to reward the pvers and give us good skills that were nerfed from pvp imbalances.

So I would vote for either make it 4 maximum (half a skill bar not including a res). Or make it so you can use as many as you want but ONLY from one title track. Or both, 4 skills max and only from one title track at a time.

im sorry, but essentially ur saying that they should change it to 4 skills because it wouldnt make a difference with only one more skill...but then u say that only 3 pve skills is a bad things...im sorry that im turning ur words against u...but u havent really presented us with a good enough argument as to why we should think that 4 is better than 3.

I personally dont care how many their are...ill probably still end up using essentially the same builds i use on many of my characters as i use now

3 is fine, but 3 + the SS rebirth sig would do fine for me. Maybe the SS rebirth sig shouldn't count?

3 PvE Skills + 1 Elite Skill. Half your bar is awesome, half not-so-awesome.

I think the cap is a good idea. Build diversity is already bad enough without skills that are just so good that you have to bring them no matter your build focus is.

I already thought using 2 made builds quite alot more powerfull, so when I read there was a cap at 3 I thought that it was awesome. Was foreseeing a future with everybody running around with the same skills on their bar.

Why stop there? Remove the cap entirely and let PvE characters use all their skills in a PvE instance.

ANet should allow maximumm 7 pve-only skills and 1 Elite skill on skillbar, and buff them by 500%. The easier the better.

Personally, I'm not seeing a point to a PvE skill-cap. Personally, the highest number of PvE skills that I have on my bars ATM is 2, but maybe GWEN will change that. (Summon Mursaat @ Nolani Academy FTW)

While we're at it... I want 2 or maybe 3 Elite Skills!
Allow us to use Monster Skills as well! PvE will be MUCH better for my assassin if he can use Impossible Odds and Battle Scars!

And move the level cap up to 200!
And give us weapons with 100-1000 damage ratings and Req -3!
And don't forget the other 4 skill slots to bring the total up to 12.... no.. wait... another 8 for 16 skills!

Even 3 is kinda too much, since a lot of those skills are as strong (or stronger) as most elite skills in the game. Maybe I'm an old timer but 1 elite used to do the job just fine for me. But then again it's PvE so balance is not so much of a concern. But still...

EDIT:
Almost forgot, add another option to that "only 3 pve skills per bar" - if a bar contains Seed of Life, the character cannot have any more PvE skills or an elite skill. That skill is overly waaaay completely killing any possibility for a PvE monk to ever learn anything.

Just unlocked Ursan Blessing and can only have one other PvE skill with it

Who cares if PvE skills may not be fully balanced? In the end people are not gonna want pure PvE skill builds anyway. These skills were added to be fun skills and now restricted they are not. If there are problems, fix the NF and Luxon skills, but the Gwen skills are really not that overpowered to demand limitations. Besides if you use a full bar of them you put yourself at a disadvantage from the start. Primaries will still be better what they do, and will still use core skills. These just allow more experimentation.

Balancing for PvE is just stupid since no one wants pure balance. They want a harder game because they been playing for 2 to 3 years, but people playing 6 months will have a hard game. This is why there is hardmode.

The thing that annoys me is I cannot run a boxing build outside, I cannot really use half the skills I am getting from quests and again, the restriction is just stupid and unneeded since you cannot PvE with them, so you can never compare the builds objectively in terms of balance.

Also most will not wish to grind up all their characters in all the paths, so they will only have one toon with a few paths around 5 or 6. Eitherway I find the game less fun with the restriction. 4 skills makes it a bit better as I can run stuff like a boxing build or play more with norn skills. But I have noticed you do sac alot when you go all PvE or even with the three. But it should be a choice and not forced. This is not PvE, mobs are not balanced, and no one wants balance so why complain about it and restrict stuff?

That all said 4 searing flames ele's and heroes will odds are be FAR more powerful than 3 heroes and one person running a weird build. Same with three barriage heroes and an orders necro.

Because PvE needs balance... uncap it and leave PvE alone, it can be totally imbalanced, who gives? We already fight lvl26-32 monsters, how is that balanced? Mallyx is balanced? No, I think not.

You should be able to take 8 PVE skills in PVE.

Its PVE FFS. It doesnt matter. Let us have fun in PVE and obey the cold hard rules of PVP in PVP. And before u call me a PVE nub ive played 4500 hours, have all 10 professions in 15k or FOW, helped a guild from scratch get into top 300, r1 Glad (RA sucks), r2 Kurz from ABing.
